The Voice Behind The Nourished Thread.
Rooted in clinical practice, shaped by personal experience.
Hi! I’m Sarah Brunton (née Williamson) - a registered dietitian and founder of The Nourished Thread, a space created for those navigating the often unseen and under-supported seasons of reproductive and hormonal health.
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, I’m currently based in Bermuda. With over a decade of experience I’ve led public health programs, supported diverse communities, and worked with hundreds of women in both one-on-one and group settings across the NHS, private practice, non-profit organisations, and government-level public health. I combine clinical expertise, evidence-based guidance, and empathetic care to support women through every stage of hormonal and reproductive health.
Professionally, I’ve worked with clients preparing for fertility treatment, managing gestational diabetes, adjusting nutrition during menopause, and more. No matter the phase, the gaps were the same: too much generic advice, not enough practical guidance, and very little space to honour the emotional and hormonal shifts beneath it all.

Why I Started The Nourished Thread
I started The Nourished Thread after my own experience with pregnancy and loss. Even as a dietitian, I found it difficult to access the kind of in-depth, compassionate, and evidence-based information I needed at the time. I was surprised by how scattered the resources were - bouncing between websites, reading conflicting advice, and often feeling more overwhelmed than reassured.
In both my personal life and clinical practice, I’ve seen just how common this experience is. Friends and family around me are now navigating their own paths - trying to conceive, experiencing miscarriage, freezing eggs, going through IVF, and entering menopause. The consistent thread? Everyone seems a little lost when it comes to nutrition.
The Nourished Thread was created to change that.
Here, I offer a space where science and softness can exist together. A place where:
You receive evidence-based, realistic guidance
Your experience - whether messy, hopeful, or complicated - is seen
Nutrition is more than food; it’s emotional, seasonal, and deeply personal
Whether you’re trying to conceive, recovering after loss, adjusting to postpartum changes, or seeking clarity in menopause - The Nourished Thread will tell you more than just ‘eat well’. We offer grounded, personalised, and reassuring support - because you deserve to feel informed, seen, and truly nourished.
